William T. Dicus, M.D.
Dr. Dicus is a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, completed medical school at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago in 1963, and completed his residency in orthopaedics at the Medical College of Wisconsin after some initial training in general surgery.
Before joining the Blount Orthopaedic Clinic in 1972, he served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Milwaukee and Wisconsin Orthopaedic Societies, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, SICOT, Mid-America Orthopaedic Association and the Flying Physicians Association. Dr. Dicus has a broad experience in hip and knee replacement, arthoscopic surgery and other extremity surgery. He is currently not doing surgery and therefore providing non- operative orthopaedic care to his patients. If these patients eventually require surgical care, Dr. Dicus is in a good position to refer his patients to an optimum surgeon within the Blount office or in the larger community as necessary. Dr. Dicus is on the staff of Columbia St. Mary's Hospital--Columbia and Ozaukee Campuses and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He is also involved in scoliosis screening at local schools and was a student of Dr. Walter Blount in the use of the Milwaukee Brace for non-operative scoliosis treatment.
